From the cool reaches of Jameson Canyon in South Napa Valley to the Oak Knoll District and Calistoga, each wine reflects our commitment to heritage, meticulous winemaking, and precision winegrowing. Cool-Climate Chardonnay
The release begins with the 2024 Jameson Canyon Vineyard Chardonnay, shaped by the cool conditions of southeastern Napa Valley. Bright, layered, and balanced, the wine combines fresh fruit with depth from barrel fermentation and sur lie aging. Awarded 91 points by Wine Enthusiast.
Crane Vineyard: Merlot & Syrah
Two wines from Crane Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District showcase two distinctive varietals. The 2023 Crane Vineyard Syrah, awarded 95 points by The Wine Palate, offers depth, structure, and vibrant character, while the 2023 Crane Vineyard Merlot, awarded 94 points by The Wine Palate, is rich and refined with a long, graceful finish.
Reserve Merlot
The 2021 Reserve Merlot, awarded 93 points by James Suckling, is sourced from Crane Vineyard, the first vineyard John planted in 1996. Selected from the finest barrels of the vintage, it offers a refined expression of both the vineyard and the Reserve program.
Cabernet Sauvignon Across Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon anchors the Fall Release with four distinctive expressions. The 2022 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, awarded 91 points by James Suckling, offers a layered expression of Napa Valley, while two single-vineyard wines highlight the influence of site.
The 2021 Twisted Oak Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, awarded 95 points by The Wine Palate, reflects the rugged hillside terrain of the Oak Knoll District. Farther north, the 2021 Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon, awarded 93 points by Wine Enthusiast, captures the depth and structure of this warmer estate site.
Completing the Cabernet collection is the 2022 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, selected from the finest lots of the vintage and crafted for depth, structure, and age-worthy character.
