"This is the second vintage of Syrah from the Carneros Gap Vineyard micro-estate. Celebrated for its unique location in the Los Carneros AVA it also neighbors the home of John Anthony Truchard. The wine’s deep-crimson hue anticipates the aromas of red fruits, black brambleberry, savory spices, and cured meats. Bright acidity balances into a smooth, velvety mouthfeel with flavors of fresh berries and a cool clean earthiness with savory hints of roasted game. Aged 22 months in 57% new French oak barrels. Only 250 cases produced."

Crafted from the first vineyard planted by John in 1999, the 2022 John Anthony Crane Vineyard Syrah is characterized by deep purple hues in the glass that signal bold intensity. The nose is rich with toasted barrel notes, spiced plum, and savory hints. On the palate, black cherry and ripe black plum skins are accented by violets and earthy undertones, layered by a seamlessly integrated spice-laden core. A velvety texture and mouthwatering acidity provide both balance and vibrancy. Aged in 75% new French oak for 22 months. Only 102 cases produced.

The 2021 John Anthony Reserve Syrah is inky purple with a violet rim. Aromas of plum, date, fig, lilac, and black earth lead to a bold palate of huckleberry, bramble berries, volcanic notes, and black pepper.
