“This balanced, energetic cabernet sauvignon presents aromas of currant, raspberry, cherry, plum and blue fruits with notes of cigar box, leather and vanilla. On the palate, dark red fruits gain complexity with suggestions of huckleberry, brambleberry, fresh herbs and baking spices. A compact texture finishes long with silky tannins and fine acidity. From our favorite vineyards, an exemplary rendition of Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon.”
Vintage Notes: The 2019 growing season was marked by much-needed early rainfall, followed by a warm, steady Napa Valley summer. Moderate conditions prevailed through harvest, teasing out vibrancy and structure in the cabernet sauvignon fruit from the John Anthony estates, throughout the Valley, as displayed in this John Anthony Napa Valley AVA series release.

“The La Dame Michele Blanc de Mélange is the fifth release from our sparkling wine series. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this sparkling has backbone and body, supple fruit and a fragrant delicacy that will age beautifully. With a light peach hue, the Blanc de Mélange’s color matches its stone fruit aromas along with a bouquet of chrysanthemum and chamomile. The palate has energetic focus, creamy bubbles and structured fruit and spice. Pluots, white strawberries, ginger and French toast intertwine with notable balance. The finish is bright, rich and dry and is the most complex La Dame Michele to date.”
"This Western-clone sauvignon blanc from cool climate Napa Carneros is full of orange blossom, papaya and white pepper aromas. Juicy passionfruit, Key lime and lemongrass notes on the palate are tinged with crystalized ginger and white floral notes. The texture leads with bright acidity while softer edges follow through the mid palate to a high-toned finish."
"Entirely produced from Musqué clone, the Church Vineyard sauvignon blanc undergoes partial malolactic fermentation. Barrel fermented for four months in mostly-neutral French oak. This is a sauvignon blanc for chardonnay lovers. Orange Julius, Mexican fruit salad and minty fragrances. Flavors are deep and tropical with mango, papaya, Key Lime pie and lemon verbena. One of our truest expressions to date."
“This chardonnay is the inaugural vintage sourced from our Jameson Canyon Vineyard in a cooler Napa Valley microclimate. Aromas of citrus blossom, lemon pound cake and apple beignets are lengthened by undercurrents of minerality. Essences of Fuji apple, poached pear and sea-salted shortbread bring volume to the palate. A chardonnay that combines classic Napa Valley character with John Anthony Vineyards style.”
Vintage Notes: A dry growing season in 2021 brought lower yields, early ripening and excellent fruit concentration to Napa Valley’s white varietals. The chardonnay fruit was fresh and full-flavored across the board—qualities that are abundant in this release of John Anthony Napa Valley Chardonnay.
"The John Anthony Reserve Chardonnay is our best expression of terroir for this varietal. Produced from the best barrels selected from the vintage, all from one windy, hillside vineyard nestled between Carneros and Coombsville. Eight months in new and neutral French oak with native-yeast, barrel fermentation. Aromas of apple pie, spring flowers and graham cracker. The palate is round yet racy, evolving with flavors of citrus crème brulée, baked pineapple, honeysuckle and chalky minerality."
"The tiny four-acre Coombsville Vineyard produces powerful and expressive fruit. Head trained, spur pruned and dry farmed, its vines produce limited yields of the highest quality—worthy of our single vineyard collection. Black plum, mulberry, tarragon and lead fragrances. Black and blue fruits persist with purity and energy and give way to lilacs and violets, hoisin and crushed stone. Dense, chewy and with explosive flavor. Enjoy now with decanting. We encourage cellaring for fifteen plus years."
"The 2018 vintage is the debut release of the Epps Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon joining our single vineyard collection. Planted to French clone 337 in northwest to southeast rows in 2003 on less-than-two, stony, loam acres with excellent drainage in the Oak Knoll District. Fragrances of Cherries Jubilee, fresh leather and mocha. Black cherry, apple butter and holiday cake flavors finish with potpourri and caramel. An elegant cabernet sauvignon with complex expressions and velvety tannins."
"The 2018 vintage is the debut release of the GnR Vineyard single-vineyard cabernet sauvignon. Planted to clones 7 and 337 in east to west rows in 2003 on less-than-three acres of gravelly, loam soils in the Oak Knoll District. The two clones bring intensity and suppleness to the wine. Aromas of chocolate-covered strawberries, dark-red fruit and peppermint. The texture is broad and expansive on the palate with ripe blackberries and raspberries unfolding with notes of graphite, rose petals, spiced coffee and fresh, savory herbs."
"The 2018 vintage is the debut release of the R/D Vineyard single-vineyard cabernet sauvignon. Planted mostly to clone 7 in east to west rows in 2002 on less-than-four acres containing rich volcanic soils in the Oak Knoll District. A pronounced bouquet of currant and Chambord with hints of tanned parchment and earthiness. A powerful, well-structured cabernet sauvignon with rich, lively, dark fruits—notably elderberry and boysenberry. The energy persists in a long, ethereal finish with s’mores and cigar box."
"Selected as the best few barrels of chardonnay from the 2019 vintage. Native yeasts and barrel fermentation provide complexity and character with scents of rich orchard fruit, lemon meringue and toasted coconut. The texture is spry for its weight with progressive layers of baked apple and pear, beeswax and jasmine, vanilla bean and cinnamon butter. This fourth release of the John Anthony Reserve Chardonnay exhibits the terroir from our vineyards more than ever before."
