For John Anthony Truchard, stewardship has always extended beyond the vineyard.

From the beginning, John Anthony Vineyards has been rooted in a belief that great wine is only possible because of the people and communities who make Napa Valley such a remarkable place. The vineyard workers who care for the vines, the organizations that strengthen the region, and families who call Napa Valley home are all part of the story behind every bottle.

That belief continues to guide John Anthony Vineyards ' commitment to community.

Last month, John Anthony Vineyards participated in Auction Napa Valley, contributing a barrel of the unreleased commemorative 2023 John Anthony Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The event raised $6 million to support the Napa Valley Vintners’ Youth Wellness Initiative.

Beyond their commitment to Napa Valley, John and Michele Truchard have also long championed causes that create meaningful impact. This year, John Anthony Vineyards will continue its longstanding support of the V Foundation for Cancer Research through events across the country, helping advance its mission of Victory Over Cancer®. For more than a decade, John and Michele Truchard have supported the organization and its efforts to fund groundbreaking cancer research. John Anthony Vineyards is honored to continue as the presenting sponsor of the V Foundation Wine Celebration, taking place July 30th – August 2nd in Napa Valley, while supporting V Foundation events in Phoenix, Chicago, D.C., Austin, New York, and more.

Closer to home, John Anthony Vineyards is honored to continue as Presenting Partner of Harvest STOMP, Napa Valley Grapegrowers’ signature fundraising event taking place August 22nd. Benefitting the Napa Valley Grapegrowers and Napa Valley Farmworker’s foundation, Harvest STOMP supports education, advocacy, research, and professional development programs that strengthen Napa Valley agriculture and the people who care for its vineyards.

John Anthony Vineyards and FARM Napa Valley have supported Harvest STOMP for more than a decade. Supporting vineyard workers, growers, and the agricultural community that sustain Napa Valley remains central to John Anthony’s vineyard-first philosophy.

Investing in the future of the wine industry is equally important to John. John Anthony Vineyards is a proud sponsor of the Cal Poly Winemaker showcase, which raises scholarship funds for students pursuing careers in wine and agriculture while celebrating the next generation of winemakers and growers.
