Our appreciation begins with the land. From Napa Valley’s Calistoga AVA to the north and The Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley to the west, Coombsville to the east, and Carneros to the south, John Anthony’s estates are hidden-gem, small-lot, hand-farmed sites that define us. Each vineyard is farmed intentionally with precision and respect, a reflection of our enduring philosophy that exceptional wines begin in the field.

From our vineyard team at FARM Napa Valley, led by Sander Scheer and Jack Emerson, to our winemakers, Jeff Kandarian and Michael Abernathy—their decade-long partnership with John, the land, and each other is one of our most important ingredients.

Growing up farming his parents' vineyards and helping their winery business instilled in John a deep respect for the pioneering spirit that founded Napa Valley. Napa Valley is a world-class wine region only because of the pursuit of perfection by those founding vintners. Today, we preserve that legacy through exceptional wines and hospitality. Our gratitude extends to our wine education team, whose warmth and professionalism bring the John Anthony experience to life each day. Whether welcoming guests to the downtown Napa John Anthony Tasting Lounge or curating custom experiences, they shine. In every tasting, conversation, and shared bottle, we are reminded that wine connects—bringing people together through craftsmanship and community.
