Tasting Notes: "The 2022 Reserve Chardonnay hails solely from the historic Jameson Canyon Vineyard. Acquired by John in 2021 this esteemed estate is located in the cool-climate region of southeastern Napa Valley. Striking golden hues in the glass, aromas of Anjou pears, apple compote, and orange blossom are weighted with notes of brioche and vanilla wafer. Flavors deepen with hints of mandarin, almonds, and subtle ocean minerality. Its vibrant acidity transforms into a velvety, satin finish. This small-batch wine underwent barrel fermentation and is aged in 83% percent new French oak barrels. Only 200 cases produced."

Vintage Notes:
The 2022 Napa Valley growing season will be remembered for late spring frosts that led to decreased yields and for a sustained heat wave that landed in early September. The expertise of the John Anthony Vineyard Management team transcended these events, creating a Reserve Chardonnay that is notable for its freshness and flavor maturation.
