"The 2018 vintage continues its ascendance in the best barrel of wine selected from what has been one of our most nuanced and complex vintages of the decade. This ONE Cabernet Sauvignon is 70% from our Twisted Oak Vineyard, a hillside site that grows fruit of intense character from steep elevations and soil drainage, and 30% from our Coombsville Vineyard, a cooler climate, dry-farmed, head-trained site that develops fruit with a deep, rugged personality from its stressed growing conditions. This is the first vintage we selected a highly allocated new French oak barrel whose proprietary assemblage was curated for long cellaring that magnifies the wine’s power and precision. Chocolate covered black cherry, briar fruit, savory panatela and warm earth fragrances. A rich and refined texture envelops the palate with ripe blackberry and red plum, fresh leather, sweet pine, iron and graphite, all concentrated with a bracing energy from balanced acid and structured tannins. The 2018 ONE Cabernet Sauvignon can be enjoyed now with decanting and cellared for decades to come."

"The sixth offering of the ONE Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine continues to impress with each release, showcasing trademark characteristics of intense fruit purity, loads of minerality and decadent texture. The aromas are generous for a young wine, with complex fragrances of black, blue and red fruit, framed by potpourri and spice box. The palate is bracing with flavors of fresh blackberry, red currant and sweet plum wrapped in tones of dark chocolate, espresso bean, crushed rock and caramel. The focused acidity lifts its powerful structure and balances the suede like tannins. This exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon can be enjoyed with decanting now, and for decades to come."

"Our fourth vintage of the ONE is the most complex and refined yet. Aromas of red and black fruit with a bouquet of purple and blue potpourri, sweet baking spices and minerality. Rich cassis and macerated berries linger with depth and intensity on the palate. New leather, cigar box and vanilla bean follow with a lengthy finish and will become more prominent with cellar aging. The wine has big structure with soft edges. The epitome of the iron hand in the velvet glove. Decant several hours before enjoying now to experience the full range of the ONE’s complexity of character. This wine should evolve over 25 years of bottle aging. Only 25 cases produced."

The second vintage of this wine ever produced. The 2012 vintage provided warmth that resulted in an early harvest of plush and sumptuous fruit. Choosing the single best barrel amongst all the wines produced was an exercise in indulgence. 

"Bruised black fruits, white truffle and bitter cocoa intensify with aeration in the glass. The energy of the wine’s bouquet demonstrates both its prowess and its potential. At first the wine showcases fresh blackberry, currant and porcini on the palate. There is a tension in the wine that alludes to its expansionary nature. With an hour or more, the wine’s profile develops Chambord flavors with bittersweet chocolate, tobacco flower and new leather in a remarkably lengthy finish. 

With decanting, this wine should be enjoyed in its youth. We are most excited to experience its evolution over the course of the next twenty years. This truly is the best wine we have ever made."
