The highly-anticipated 2022 John Anthony Jameson Canyon Vineyard Chardonnay comes from an historic Napa Valley estate acquired by John in 2021. The cooler, marine-influenced microclimate is acclaimed for producing outstanding Chardonnays. This inaugural hand-crafted release is richly layered with ripe orchard fruits, toasted hazelnut, a creamy texture, and vibrant acidity. Just 200 cases made. 

"This 2023 vintage comes from Napa Valley’s Los Carneros AVA, with the cool-climate conditions necessary for growing elegant Sauvignon Blanc. Deep straw hues shine in the glass. Aromas of Asian pear and citrus méringue with notes of white peach and lemongrass. Vibrant and lively textures saturate the palate with flavors of pineapple, mangosteen, and hints of tarragon. Crafted from a blend of 71% Musque and 29% Western Clone, the wine undergoes cold fermentation and is aged in stainless steel to preserve its true varietal character. Only 200 cases produced."

"The 2022 Reserve Chardonnay hails solely from the historic Jameson Canyon Vineyard. Acquired by John in 2021 this esteemed estate is located in the cool-climate region of southeastern Napa Valley. Striking golden hues in the glass, aromas of Anjou pears, apple compote, and orange blossom are weighted with notes of brioche and vanilla wafer. Flavors deepen with hints of mandarin, almonds, and subtle ocean minerality. Its vibrant acidity transforms into a velvety, satin finish. This small-batch wine underwent barrel fermentation and is aged in 83% percent new French oak barrels. Only 200 cases produced."

"This is the second vintage of Syrah from the Carneros Gap Vineyard micro-estate. Celebrated for its unique location in the Los Carneros AVA it also neighbors the home of John Anthony Truchard. The wine’s deep-crimson hue anticipates the aromas of red fruits, black brambleberry, savory spices, and cured meats. Bright acidity balances into a smooth, velvety mouthfeel with flavors of fresh berries and a cool clean earthiness with savory hints of roasted game. Aged 22 months in 57% new French oak barrels. Only 250 cases produced."

Covering a mere four-acres in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, Crane Vineyard was the first vineyard John leased and planted. Crafted from the mature and robust Merlot vines planted by John in 1996, the 2021 vintage displays the distinctive character of this Oak Knoll District estate. A dark ruby hue in the glass sets the tone for an aromatic bouquet of black and blue berries with ripe plums and floral notes of rose and lavender. Flavors of fresh boysenberry cobbler are complemented with hints of rich mocha and coffee bean. This 2021 vintage is characterized by a structured core with soft edges and focused acidity. Unfolds beautifully with decanting, revealing the wine’s complexity. Aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak. Less than 100 cases available.

"The tiny four-acre Coombsville Vineyard produces powerful and expressive fruit. Head trained, spur pruned and dry farmed, its vines produce limited yields of the highest quality—worthy of our single vineyard collection. Black plum, mulberry, tarragon and lead fragrances. "The 2019 vintage marks just the third micro-production vineyard designate from Twisted Oak—one of the first vineyards that John planted as an early champion of the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Aromas of baked, red fruits and savory-spiced plum reveal hints of dried rose and fresh fig. A powerful and progressive mouthfeel reveals flavors of cassis, cherry cobbler, and tobacco leaf. Plump tannins bring length and breadth to the finish. Aged for 28 months in 80 percent new French oak barrels. Only 200 cases produced."

“Epps Vineyard is the smallest of our Oak Knoll District estates at just under two acres—a coveted micro-site that yields exceptionally elegant Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich, ruby hues set the tone. A deep bouquet of currant and dried raspberry reveals hints of mocha, stone and sweet pipe tobacco. Flavors of savory berry compote, cherry and rhubarb carry trailing notes of leather, toffee, loam and cardamom. A light, dusty entry gains a firm grip on the mid-palate, all finishing with breadth, stature and balance. This vintage marks our second ultra-limited vineyard designate from this essential John Anthony estate. Aged for 28 months in 70 percent new French oak barrels, only 150 cases produced.”

"Covering just under four acres of the Oak Knoll District, the rich volcanic soils of R/D Vineyard are known for producing Cabernet Sauvignons with remarkable energy and powerful structure. Deep purple-garnet in the glass promises and delivers a bounty of both red and black fruits–ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant. On the palate find floral notes with subtle nuances of dried leather, sweet cigar, and sweet and savory spices. The 2020 vintage has impeccable structure and is notably dry from front to back, followed by a crescendo of acidity that splashes out and lingers gracefully. Aged for 28 months in 67% new French oak barrels. Only 150 cases available."
