2022 John Anthony Carneros Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
Tasting Notes:
“This 2022 vintage comes from Napa Valley’s Los Carneros AVA, with the cool-climate conditions necessary for growing authentic Sauvignon Blanc. Pale-straw hues shine in the glass. Aromas of green apple, pineapple and apricot mingle with notes of honeycomb and sweet pine. Fresh, energetic textures flood the mouth with peach, passionfruit, lychee, lemon curd and white pepper. Light minerality and zesty acidity converge on the finish. A blend of the Western (90%) and Musqué (10%) clones, cold fermented and aged in stainless steel for pure varietal character.”
Vintage Notes:
The 2022 Napa Valley growing season will be remembered for late spring frosts that led to decreased yields and for a sustained heat wave that landed in early September. The experience and expertise of the John Anthony vineyard team transcended these events and the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc fruit is notable for its freshness and vibrancy.
