2021 John Anthony Napa Valley Chardonnay
Brilliant golden hues lead to fresh aromas of baked apple, lemon meringue, and orange blossom. The palate is sleek and focused, displaying energetic flavors of apple pie, lemon curd, graham cracker, and flint. Lively acidity carries into a broad, minerally finish. Fermented and aged in 73 percent new American oak barrels for enhanced complexity and dimension; only 200 cases produced.
Vintage Notes: A dry growing season in 2021 brought lower yields, early ripening and excellent fruit concentration to Napa Valley’s white varietals. The excellence of the vintage was on full display at Jameson Canyon Vineyard, where the Chardonnay fruit exhibited stunning freshness and flavor maturation.
