Oak Knoll District Vineyards
Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley California
The Oak Knoll District American Viticultural Area is the ideal location for red varietals, combining valley floor sun with tempering breezes from the south. The soils here bring out noticeably different qualities in each varietal, giving each wine its own unique character.
The Twisted Oak Vineyard is nestled on a steep hillside at the foothills of Mount Veeder in the Oak Knoll District. The diurnal weather patterns provide warm days counterbalanced by cold nights and a constant mountain wind. The well-drained stone, gravel and loam soils stress the Cabernet Sauvignon vines to produce a wine with great fruit intensity and fresh acidity. Exclusive viticulture tours of the Twisted Oak Vineyard are offered to LIST Members who wish to share in an authentic vineyard experience, with one of the most beautiful views in wine country overlooking all of Napa Valley.
