The smallest of the four Oak Knoll vineyards, Epps is just under two acres and only produces about four barrels of wine from four blocks. Situated predominantly on the valley floor, these blocks run north-south and are bathed in ample sunlight providing an excellent ripening environment for Cabernet Sauvignon.

Oak Knoll District is located to the north of Napa city, placing it right in the path of the daily fog that creeps up from the Bay and making it one of the cooler AVAs. Epps Vineyard is in the central part of the AVA on the valley floor which is dominated by rich fluvial soils. The cool climate, long growing season and deep fertile soils of this terroir make for elegantly balanced wines.
