2020 John Anthony Twisted Oak Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
"The 2020 vintage of this signature, vineyard-designate wine showcases deep ruby hues with a fuchsia rim. Complex aromas of brambleberry, boysenberry, and plum mingle with hints of potpourri, sweet pine, and crushed stone. An elegant palate reveals dark berries, mocha, cigar box, and a touch of crushed pepper and thyme. Grainy tannins are perfectly balanced with focused acidity with a satisfyingly long finish. Aged for 28 months in 72 percent new French oak barrels. Only 169 cases produced."
Vintage Notes: Mild temperatures created an ideal start to the 2020 growing season in Napa Valley, with low winter rainfall contributing to an early bud break. The Cabernet Sauvignon crop was marked by small berries with beautifully concentrated flavors. Warm summer conditions were buffered by cool mornings heading into the harvest season, promoting evenhanded flavors and structure across our Cabernet Sauvignon estates.
