Tasting Notes:
"Coombsville Vineyard, a four-acre, dry-farmed and head-trained estate known for its small berries and expressive fruit, produces standout wines in John Anthony’s exclusive single-vineyard collection. The 2022 vintage features a deep, luminous ruby-purple hue with vibrant saturation. The nose is fruit-forward, offering raspberry and currant aromas alongside notes of lavender, herbs, with understated nuances of graphite, cocoa, and toffee notes. The palate delivers concentrated fruit flavors of blackberry, black plum, and pomegranate mingled with dark chocolate tones. Polished yet firm tannins carry through a long, elegant finish. Aged 28 months in 75% new French Oak. Only 76 cases produced."

Vintage Notes:
The 2022 growing season in Napa Valley brought challenges—from late spring frost to September heat spikes—that naturally reduced yields. But with lower yields came greater intensity. The expertise of the John Anthony Winemaking and Vineyard Management team transcended these events, creating red wines that show deep color, luxurious tannins, and vibrant, fruit-forward aromatics, with a balance of power and elegance that reflects the vintage’s dramatic swings in weather. The resulting more limited production will create even greater demand for John Anthony’s signature Cabernets.
