2023 John Anthony Reserve Chardonnay
Tasting Notes:
"The 2023 John Anthony Reserve Chardonnay has a golden core with a pale-yellow rim. Aromas of baked apple, pineapple, popcorn, and butterscotch are complemented by flint and graphite notes. Notes of grapefruit, papaya, white flower are balanced with chalky minerality. A round, voluptuous entry evolves to a focused, lean mid-palate. The finish is long and vibrant. Aged for 11 months in new French oak. Only 50 cases produced."
"Intense, Bright, Citrus Fruit, Struck Flint, Lime, White Blossoms, Full bodied, Refreshing Acidity, Subtle Oak, Satiny Texture, Ready to Drink"

Vintage Notes:
Described as “a vintage for the ages”, the 2023 growing season surpassed all expectations. Early record winter rainfall set a perfect foundation, followed by a moderately warm spring which contributed to a later bud break, resulting in a slow ripening curve. Summer heat spikes guided cluster development on track and ensured optimal conditions for a later harvest with unparalleled grape quality and complexity.
