2017 John Anthony Reserve Chardonnay
Tasting Notes:
"The second release of our Reserve Chardonnay continues to impress from these hand selected best barrels. Barrel fermentation with native yeasts provides a distinct style to this wine that is often achieved in the great cellars of Burgundy. Apple pie and honeyed aromas layer over a foundation of white flowers and chalky minerality. The texture is round with curves that awaken the palate and provide a lengthy finish. Baked Meyer lemon, pear and coconut flavors with hazelnut and geranium. The Reserve Chardonnay will both drink well now and cellar well later."
