2016 John Anthony Reserve Syrah
“Our much anticipated second release of the Reserve Syrah is a selection of the two best barrels from our Oak Knoll District Syrah. A complex array of red fruit and brambly black fruit with fresh blueberry alongside tones of tanned leather, aged cigar and allspice. The texture is broad and commanding with a tension that implies significant aging potential. Flavors of fresh fig and blackberry lead into buttery graham cracker pie crust with hints of marzipan in the finish. This wine can be enjoyed now with at least an hour of encouraged decanting. Less than 50 cases produced.”
