2012 John Anthony Coombsville Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
"Aromas of sweet oak, menthol and blueberries attract your attention immediately and lead into bordeauxesque earthy tones, typical of the cool Coombsville sub-appellation. Intense forest floor and pine intertwine with dark ripe fruit and toasty barrel notes. The flavors on the palate follow the aromatic profile perfectly with sweet fruit, black cherry and blueberry commingling with rich earth and barrel spice. Focused structure, bold, rich and powerful yet soft with elegantly integrated tannins giving it balance and finishing with subtle notes of floral and spice."
