2012 John Anthony Coombsville Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
"Aromas of sweet oak, menthol and blueberries attract your attention immediately and lead into bordeauxesque earthy tones, typical of the cool Coombsville sub-appellation. Intense forest floor and pine intertwine with dark ripe fruit and toasty barrel notes. The flavors on the palate follow the aromatic profile perfectly with sweet fruit, black cherry and blueberry commingling with rich earth and barrel spice. Focused structure, bold, rich and powerful yet soft with elegantly integrated tannins giving it balance and finishing with subtle notes of floral and spice."
Little rim variation, showing generous fruit indicative of vintage and can be enjoyed now or within 8+ years
Blue berry with raspberry undertones, muddled, lilac and lavender, baking spices, forest floor
Sweet rich black fruit, berries and stones, blackberry, plum, sweet pine, coffee, milk chocolate
Supple and round with weighty, broad core, juiciness with suede tannins and noted acidic frame
