2006 John Anthony Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon
"The first vintage of our Coombsville Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, cassis and black cherries comingle with cigar box, cedar and tarragon. The flavors are lush and bold. Raspberry liqueur, savory spiced dark fruit, cocoa nibs, crushed violet and graphite. Ten years after its release, it is still powerful but now exhibits a delicacy indicative of its world class heritage. There is an old-world quality to the wine’s texture. The tannins remain compact with softened edges. The acidity continues to uplift in a lengthy finish."
