Carneros Gap Vineyard is perched in a distinctive position in the rolling hills of the Los Carneros American Viticultural Area of the Napa Valley. This vineyard location experiences the direct influence of the wind and fog from San Pablo Bay, allowing an extended growing season and highly concentrated flavor development in the grapes.

The first Carneros Gap Vineyard Syrah vines were planted in 1996, allowing this pristine 5-acre block of vines to mature and flourish. The Syrah crop from this vineyard site is marked by small berries that impart notable structure and concentration yielding bold, opulent wines brimming with intense black fruit flavors and exceptional aging potential. These grapes are often contenders for inclusion in the prestigious John Anthony Reserve Syrah Program.
