The highly-anticipated 2022 John Anthony Jameson Canyon Vineyard Chardonnay comes from an historic Napa Valley estate acquired by John in 2021. The cooler, marine-influenced microclimate is acclaimed for producing outstanding Chardonnays. This inaugural hand-crafted release is richly layered with ripe orchard fruits, toasted hazelnut, a creamy texture, and vibrant acidity. Just 200 cases made. 

"This 2023 vintage is a traditional, barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc sourced from our estate Church Vineyard, nestled in Los Carneros AVA. A smooth, medium honey hue anticipates aromas of dried papaya and candied pineapple, followed by hints of cherimoya. A layered palate unfolds with precision, revealing notes of mango, blood orange pith, and fresh cut white flowers. Lively acidity evolves into a lasting finish. Crafted from a blend of Musqué (71%) and Western (29%) clones, barrel fermented and aged in 25% new French oak barrels for enhanced dimension and complexity. Only 200 cases produced."

"The 2022 Reserve Chardonnay hails solely from the historic Jameson Canyon Vineyard. Acquired by John in 2021 this esteemed estate is located in the cool-climate region of southeastern Napa Valley. Striking golden hues in the glass, aromas of Anjou pears, apple compote, and orange blossom are weighted with notes of brioche and vanilla wafer. Flavors deepen with hints of mandarin, almonds, and subtle ocean minerality. Its vibrant acidity transforms into a velvety, satin finish. This small-batch wine underwent barrel fermentation and is aged in 83% percent new French oak barrels. Only 200 cases produced."

Coombsville Vineyard is a small four-acre estate that yields bold and expressive fruit. Head-trained, spur-pruned, and dry-farmed, the vines produce a limited amount of fruit with exceptional quality–a true standout in our exclusive single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon collection. Deep, ruby-purple hues in the glass anticipate aromas of black cherry, lavender, and graphite. On the palate find notes of fresh blackberries, sweet pine, and dried herbs. This Cabernet Sauvignon envelopes the palate like a skilled boxer while possessing the poise and grace of a ballerina. Aged for 28 months in 80% new French oak barrels. Only 200 cases produced. 

"Covering a mere two and a half acres of gravelly, bench-land soils in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District, GnR Vineyard produces low yields of intensely flavored Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark purple hues in the glass hold captivating aromas of black fruits, macerated strawberries, and a tinge of earthiness. The palate intensifies with notes of dried red berries, pluots, and a savory blend of fresh spices. This Cabernet Sauvignon showcases an excellent progression from light to weighty creating an unforgettable sensory experience. Aged for 28 months in 71% new French oak barrels. Only 150 cases produced."

"The 2020 John Anthony Reserve Syrah was carefully sourced from a micro-block at Crane Vineyard, one of the first plots planted to the Hermitage Clone of Syrah by John nearly 25 years ago. A deep, inky hue foreshadows a medley of black, blue, and red fruit aromas—olallieberry, huckleberry, and dark cherry with intriguing notes of kalamata olives. Followed by flavors of preserved berries, fresh savory spices, and a touch of black pepper. Mid-palate tannins command attention and release into an incredibly long finish, showcasing a subtle yet robust power in the mid-to-back palate. Aged for 20 months in 80% new French oak barrels. Only 100 cases produced."

"Brilliant golden hues lead to fresh aromas of baked apple, lemon meringue, and orange blossom. The palate is sleek and focused, displaying energetic flavors of apple pie, lemon curd, graham cracker, and flint. Lively acidity carries into a broad, minerally finish. Fermented and aged in 73 percent new American oak barrels for enhanced complexity and dimension; only 200 cases produced."

"Calistoga Vineyard is John Anthony’s northernmost Napa Valley estate, where warmer temperatures and rocky soils predominate. Hues of deep ruby-purple yield to engulfing aromas of brambly blackberry, black currant, and forest floor. The bouquet is echoed on the palate with accents of black cherry, black pepper, and cedar. Power meets elegance on the finish, displaying grainy tannins that release with softness and length. Aged for 28 months in 70 percent new French oak barrels. Only 200 cases produced."

"The Reserve Merlot represents an ultra-limited selection of the finest barrels from the vintage—all from Crane Vineyard, the first vineyard that John planted in 1996. Deep ruby-purple tones dominate in the glass. The bouquet is loaded with blue flowers, black cherry, and chocolate-covered espresso beans. Sturdy and structured on the palate, releasing flavors of pomegranate, kirsch, and anise. Firm tannins relax with velvety progression into an elegant yet powerful finish. Aged for 20 months in 67 percent new French oak barrels. Only 50 cases produced."

"The Merlot vines that John planted at Crane Vineyard in 1996 continue to gain in maturity and stature. The 2020 vintage displays the incomparable character of this Oak Knoll District estate. A dark ruby color sets the pace for aromas of red cherry, blueberry, fig, and toffee. The palate introduces layers of pitted red fruit, baking spices, and roast coffee. Fruit, spice, and earthy notes progress into the finish with fine acidity and balanced tension. Aged for 20 months in 67 percent new French oak barrels. Less than 100 cases produced."
