"Vintage 2006 was a “grower’s year.” Rain into late spring, heat spikes during the summer and a long cool autumn provided the opportunity to make a wine that has evolved beautifully. Muddled black cherries, kirsch and Chambord aromas with fresh earth, hibiscus and incense. On the palate the wine proves its ability to cellar with fresh red and black berries, Herbs de Provence, and leather. The seamless finish has a lively acidity and is balanced by velvety tannins."

"The first vintage of our Coombsville Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, cassis and black cherries comingle with cigar box, cedar and tarragon. The flavors are lush and bold. Raspberry liqueur, savory spiced dark fruit, cocoa nibs, crushed violet and graphite. Ten years after its release, it is still powerful but now exhibits a delicacy indicative of its world class heritage. There is an old-world quality to the wine’s texture. The tannins remain compact with softened edges. The acidity continues to uplift in a lengthy finish."

"A selection of the best few barrels of the vintage, mostly from our Twisted Oak hillside vineyard in Oak Knoll District. A vibrant black fruit, wild cherry and cassis bouquet with mocha, white truffle and spiced caramel. The fruit is explosive with black cherry, bramble fruit and sweet marionberry. Layers of milk chocolate, spice box, buttered sage, pencil shavings and dried roses add nuance and complexity to the wine’s pedigree. It drinks much younger than the vintage implies and has incredible energy balanced by plush tannins."
