"Holiday incense wafts from the glass with smoky cranberry, cinnamon, nutmeg and pine.  There is a reserved subtlety to the wine that opens up with time in the glass and ultimately expresses itself more generously.  Pronounced acidity with dusty tannins indicate the wine’s potential for continued development.  Flavors of black plum skin and dried myrtle berry are quickly joined by a potpourri of violets, fresh cigar and menthol.  The two decade old vines from which this wine comes provide the personality of an old soul, but this wine exhibits youthfulness from the bottle."
