The nose of this inky Syrah captures you instantly with notes of dark, cooked cherries and a savory undercurrent of sage and eucalyptus.  On the palate this big wine has a meaty backbone of structured tannins that balance the intensity of the rich, dark berries, plums and cherries.  Eighteen months of aging in new French and American oak barrels brings out notes of tobacco, roasted coffee and vanilla on the palate, creating a long, memorable finish for this intense, alluring Syrah.
